Teacher Fellowship
Across the Mississippi Delta, schools have difficulty recruiting and retaining certified teachers. Many educators who choose to serve in the Delta enter the classroom with passion but quickly become overwhelmed by the challenges of serving economically, spiritually, and socially vulnerable children in under-resourced and geographically rural schools. In these communities, teachers are not just educators; they are mentors, counselors, and a stable influence and presence in the lives of students who need it the most.
The Reclaimed Teacher Fellowship
The Reclaimed Teacher Fellowship exists to support and equip teachers serving in under-resourced schools throughout the Mississippi Delta. Our desire is to come alongside our Fellows and local teachers and help them grow in their spiritual maturity, educational effectiveness, and missional impact.
The Teacher Fellowship Program provides:
Teacher housing during the Fellowship term at The Village.
A supportive team environment with ongoing mentorship, discipleship, and encouragement.
Professional development opportunities, including CEU sessions.
Guidance and assistance with certification and licensure requirements.
Opportunities to serve the vulnerable in the community through local churches, partnerships, and outreach efforts.
